About Dr. Connie Chuang

Our founder, Dr. Connie Chuang, is a board-certified physician and wellness coach who helps high-performing individuals transform the way they approach health, work, and life. Certified in Lifestyle Medicine, Occupational & Environmental Medicine, Internal Medicine, Clinical Informatics, and Health & Wellness Coaching, she integrates medical insight with real-world guidance to help people live and work with purpose.
After decades in medicine, Dr. Chuang saw a specific repeating pattern: high-achieving people, whether physicians, working professionals, or retirees, often struggle to manage their well-being. Having experienced that imbalance herself, she developed high-touch coaching programs that offer personalized, physician-guided care with consistent, ongoing support.
Dr. Chuang begins with a comprehensive assessment that looks beyond current health status and lab results to understand how you live and work each day, including daily routines, workload, sleep patterns, and emotional fulfillment. By integrating metabolic data, lifestyle habits, and personal goals, she develops actionable plans that are both medically sound and realistically achievable.
Her signature Health Life Work Medical Care™ protocol integrates lifestyle medicine, occupational health, behavioral science, and culinary medicine to align physical well-being with personal purpose and professional fulfillment.
Unlike most health coaches, she considers medical conditions, medications, and lab results when creating individualized plans. Additionally, unlike most physicians, she translates those insights into targeted guidance on nutrition, physical fitness, sleep, stress, and time management.
Dr. Chuang also participates in the Walk with a Doc program in Edison, NJ, supporting community-based movement and preventive health. It’s one way she brings lifestyle medicine into real life beyond the clinic.

For Dr. Chuang, wellness isn’t about doing more; it’s about doing what matters with clarity and intention. Her approach helps you not only feel better, but live and work in a way that truly sustains you.
Currently, she is a practicing physician at the Rutgers Environmental & Occupational Health Sciences Institute (EOHSI) Clinical Center and the Rutgers World Trade Center (WTC) Health Program Clinical Center of Excellence, where she cares for patients facing complex health, occupational, and environmental stressors.
At EOHSI, she manages concerns related to toxic exposures, ergonomic risks, and long-term health monitoring. At the WTC Clinical Center, she provides specialized care for 9/11 responders. This hands-on experience informs her Work-Health-Life philosophy, providing her with an understanding of how workplace hazards, chronic exposures, and lifestyle factors intersect, and enabling her to create science-based plans that fit real life.
